Michal Bartos

Michal has been supporting the Swiss startup ecosystem since 2015 as an angel investor (shareholder of 8 Swiss healthcare ventures), coach/mentor, expert/juror, board member and acting CFO. He is also an expert evaluator for Horizon Europe (formerly Horizon 2020), having graded to date close to 100 submissions for EU grants in the domains of medical devices, digital health, reproductive medicine and infectious diseases.
Before becoming a passionate startup supporter, Michal has spent 35 years in the pharma/biotech industry, with the last 25 in senior commercial and general management roles (e.g. Regional Vice President and Global Head of Commercial Operations for a 1 billion franchise).
Michal is Swiss, an economist by education (lic.rer.pol. Universität Basel), married and a father of two adult sons. He is an easy-going, extrovert person, enjoying very much an open interaction with brilliant young people who like to learn and to grow, and who seek a fruitful relation with their mentor.
