GSM PEP is a hybrid device permitting efficient conversion of ambient light to electri- city and its safe and environmentally friendly storage in a novel type of rechargeable battery. It is expected to find widespread applications in the rapidly growing tele- communication market, in particular for equipping portable telephones.
