Martijn is Exceutive Director of the ETH Zurich World Food System Center. The Center works toward the vision of a healthy world through sustainable food systems. We work across disciplines and scales and in partnerships with key stakeholders to create new knowledge and ensure it is translated into real world impact.

Before joining the Center, he worked at the UN Food and Agricultural Organization and as Deputy Head of the Directorate on International Affairs, Research, and Innovation at the Swiss Federal Office for Agriculture. Since 2020, Martijn is president of the Swiss National FAO Committee.
