Thomas is a distinguished banking leader with over 30 years of international experience spanning the world’s primary financial hubs, including Switzerland, New York, and Asia. Most recently, he served as the Chief Credit Officer for a premier global Private Bank, a role he held until his retirement in April 2025. In this capacity, he provided strategic oversight and final credit authority for one of the most sophisticated wealth management portfolios in the industry.
Before his final executive tenure, Thomas was a Managing Director within the Chief Risk Officer division of a Global Universal Bank. There, he was responsible for Credit Risk Management for Real Assets & Structured Corporate Lending. His mandate covered a diverse and complex array of global lending sectors, including:
• Large Swiss Corporates and Institutional Clients.
• Specialised Finance: Ship, Aircraft, Export Finance, Commodity Trade Finance.
• Lombard Lending: Lending to Private Individuals incluiding Mortgage-backed Lending.
Thomas holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Lucerne and an Executive M.B.A. from the University of Rochester. This academic foundation, combined with decades of frontline leadership, makes him a leading authority on global credit structures, institutional risk, and private banking lending.
