ArtemiX is a novel, patented drug delivery system to prevent stenosis of arteriovenous fistula (AVF). AVF is a routine surgery to enable haemodialysis for patients with kidney failure. Postoperative complications occur in up to 50% of the cases, leading to increased morbidity and costs. ArtemiX intends to prevent vein stenosis in AVF and bypass surgery.
