The world’s meat production is unsustainable. It uses 80% of arable land, causes ~15% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Every week, around 1 bn animals are slaughtered for food consumption. Meat demand is projected to grow 70% until 2050 – equivalent to a market size of USD 1,700 billion/p.a. Our solution is to cultivate pure meat directly from animal stem cells reducing environmental impact by 80-90%. The very high funds needed for the whole development of the startup is the greatest risk.
